The 2015 Northwest Louisiana "Southern Soul" Labor Day Blues Festival Sponsorship Information
With the Northwest Louisiana “Southern Soul” Labor Day Blues Festival right around the corner, we would like to cordially invite you to become an official sponsor of the Inter City Row Modern Dance Company & Cultural Arts Institute event. ICR was established in 1981 and became incorporated, tax-exempt, as a non-profit dance organization in 1982, making us the oldest operating African American dance company in the State of Louisiana.
On September 5, 2015 our dance company will be hosting the 6th Annual Northwest Louisiana "Southern Soul" Labor Day blues Festival. The purpose of this event is to establish Inter City Row as one of the main outlets for cultural enrichment, awareness, entertainment and arts in education, as well as showcase various art forms. All attendees will have the opportunity to participate in activities that will immerse them in cultural arts and Louisiana folklife.
This event will be a day full of non-stop singing, dancing, and eating. All attendees will have the opportunity to see local and national blues artist perform their favorite songs. There will also be many other local artists (dancers, singers, painters, jewelry makers, etc.) at the event. In addition, all attendees will have the chance to get a taste of Northwest Louisiana. There will be a myriad of food vendors to provide a taste of the finger-licking cuisine of Louisiana.
Inter City Row Modern Dance Company has profoundly touched the lives of hundreds upon thousands of young people, creating a door that makes art accessible, available, affordable, and promoting a livable and or viable community through its activities. It is incredibly important to continue offering art and art educational activist that keep children engaged in learning.
Unfortunately, there is not enough public dollars in place to provide the level of service we offer, and that many youth in our community deserve. We are requesting support from the businesses and organizations in our community to make this event a success. This is a wonderful opportunity to promote your product or service to the Inter City Row family.
